From Lahaina, take highway 30 east until just past the Maui Ocean Center. Turn south onto
highway 31, and head south past Kihei towards Wailea. Turn right onto Wailea Iki Drive, and then
left onto Wailea Alanui Drive. Keep heading south into Makena, and then follow the public access
road to get down to the beach.

Description

This beach is rather rocky and not very family friendly, although would be of interest
to those looking to explore more of the geological aspects of the island. There is a trail
up the cinder cone here, but take caution as the gravel path can be unstable.
