From Lahaina, head east on highway 30 towards Kahului until it reaches the junction for highway 31.
Go south on 31 towards Kihei, turning off onto the South Kihei Road as it heads along
the coast until reaching the beach park.

Parking: 8 spaces in a paved lot. Space for about 40 vehicles along the South Kihei Road.
There is also a gravel lot 100 yards south of main entrance.

There is a small picnic area with some shade just off the beach. The name
of this beach translates to "forget me not".

Description

This park has a narrow, sandy beach which is a good spot for swimming and snorkeling.
During the whale season, it is a good place for families to come and watch the activities
of the migrating Humpbacks, as these animals enjoy coming to Ma'alaea Bay to mate and raise
their young.
