The beach was named for Scottish born David Thomas Fleming, a man who was responsible
for developing the commercial pineapple industry in west Maui.

Description

This is a popular white sand beach, frequented by both locals and visitors alike.
There are a lot of amenities here, as well as some good body surfing. Be cautious of the
dangerous shorebreak and strong currents at this beach, even though lifeguards are on duty.
Film, snorkling equipment and other items are available at the Beach House. Near the Ritz
Carlton Hotel.
